Also, there are types of compost on the market which suit any type of plants and growing conditions. Some products are even purposely created to feed a specific type of plant, such as a tomato crop. In addition to plant food, you can support growing trees with similar products containing essential nutrients for their ideal development. They are classed according to the type of trees they are suitable for. For example, such products designed for citrus trees are available in summer and winter variations.
What is more, you can even reduce the need for very frequent irrigation by using water storing crystals, which help retain water when mixed into the compost, releasing it gradually into the soil order to feed your plants whenever required. They are particularly indicated for using in raised baskets, pots and so forth, as they make your work much e easier and more convenient.
